FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

What is Picante?

Picante is an adults-only party game of questions, dares, and penalties. Pick a heat level, pass the phone around, and answer the card or take the penalty. It's built for groups who don't mind getting a little too honest with each other.

How many people do I need to play?

You'll need at least two players to get started, but Picante is at its best with a group. It automatically mixes in solo, duo, and whole-group cards to fit however many people are playing.

Is Picante free?

Yes. The Mild and Medium decks are free to play. The Spicy and Picante decks are optional one-time unlocks — buy them once and they're yours for good, with no subscription.

What are "penalties"?

A penalty is whatever your group decides it is. Play responsibly and know your limits.

What are power-ups?

Each player gets 3 power-ups per game. Skip passes on a card you can't handle, Redirect sends the card to a different player, and Group Play turns a solo card into a challenge for the whole table.

How do I unlock the Spicy and Picante decks?

Tap the locked deck on the "Pick Your Heat" screen and choose Unlock. Each is a one-time purchase through the App Store. Already own it on another device? Tap Restore Purchase to bring it back.

I have a code — how do I redeem it?

On the "Pick Your Heat" screen, tap Redeem Code in the top right corner and enter it. Enjoy your trial!

I bought a deck but it isn't showing up.

Open a locked deck's unlock screen and tap Restore Purchase. As long as you're signed in with the same Apple ID you used to buy it, your decks will reappear — even on a new phone.

Is Picante appropriate for everyone?

No. Picante is rated 18+ and contains mature, explicit content. It's meant for consenting adults only. Always respect everyone's boundaries — anyone can skip a card or stop playing at any time.

Do you collect my data?

No. Picante has no accounts, tracking, or ads, and player names never leave your device. For the full details, see our Privacy Policy.
